Position: Full-Time Cook

Location: Mount St. Francis Retreat Center just outside Cochrane

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, may include weekends, evenings, holidays)

Key Responsibilities:
Be an active, dedicated member of the Food Services team.

Prepare and cook meals with a focus on buffet-style service. Food Service can include up to 60 people daily for three meals plus snacks, with accommodations for various food preferences and health concerns.

Assist in generating menus, food presentation ideas, and ordering supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service.
Manage inventory and stock rotation.
Support the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff, as needed.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of cooking experience, especially with buffet-style service.

Culinary education or training preferred.

Currant Alberta Food Handler Certificate and remain committed to following safe food handling protocols.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Must be able to get to and from work on time at the Mount St. Francis Retreat Centre.
