Laudato Si’: Season of Creation: To Hope and Act with Creation
September 3, 2025: 9:00 am—1:00 pm. Cost: $25.00
Pope Francis declared September 1, as the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation. The month following to the feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4) is known as the Season of Creation.
This morning retreat includes outdoor stations of prayer, reflections on creation, Mass and an earth inspired hardy lunch. Please dress and prepare for the weather (many parts of this retreat are outdoors). Bring your own water bottle and small day pack to carry items.

Blessing of the Pets

You are invited to bring your pet to receive a blessing from one of the Friars at a special ritual held outdoors. St. Francis gave special consideration to all of God’s creatures, calling them brothers and sisters. Come and visit the grounds and retreat centre that afternoon. The Blessing ritual will take place at 3:00 pm.

St. Francis of Assisi began the popular tradition of re-enacting the Christmas story in Greccio, Italy. Mount St. Francis has held the Greccio Christmas pageant since 2006.
This is an outdoor pageant, please dress for weather.

Charity of the Cross: Our Being in Christ
This Holy Week retreat is offered as a Day Away (9:00 am – 3:00 pm) or an Evening Twilight (6:00 pm-9:00 pm). The writings of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi around the Passion of Jesus Christ will be the source of the reflections. The costs for each is $35.00 and includes a meal. There are two out-door Stations of the Cross which you may wish to visit so please dress for the weather.
